After a long wait, THE White Paper is out!  To be exact, it is titled “From Research Subgroup to Clinical Syndrome: Modifying the PANDAS Criteria to Describe PANS (Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome)”.

Research: Neurocognitive functioning and PANDAS

The research study Neurocognitive functioning in youth with pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with streptococcus shows that neurocognitive functioning can be impaired with children who have PANDAS.

Maternal Autoimmune Disease and PANDAS

As much as 25% of mothers of PANDAS children may suffer from an autoimmune disease themself.
