Strep infection sometimes leads to sudden tics in children

Eleven-year-old Mason Golden noticed a tic-like cough one day that was non-stop. He said he would try to hide it from his mom and teacher, but it would never go away. One day he started spinning and yelling. The family tried everything, and nothing worked—until a doctor ran an additional strep test and it came back positive for PANDAS.
